Understanding Customers Needs
I first began by researching the competition and industry trends to get a sense of what design elements would work best for SouthCoast Lights. Through this research, I identified the importance of creating a brand identity that is modern, fresh, and eco-friendly. Using this knowledge, I started designing the company's logo. The logo needed to be simple, yet memorable, and it had to communicate the company's mission of providing energy-efficient lighting solutions. I experimented with different colours, typography, and symbols to create a logo that perfectly fit SouthCoast Lights' brand identity.
Designing Thought Process
The packaging design needed to be simple, yet effective, making it easy for customers to identify the product and its benefits. I also created marketing materials for SouthCoast Lights which included designing a website that is easy to navigate and visually appealing, as well as creating social media graphics and advertisements. Throughout the project, I was mindful to ensure that every design element worked together to create a cohesive brand identity.
